TAG: 3 Day Lyrical Challenge – Day Three

Well, gosh darn it! This was supposed to be scheduled for last week!!!!! So I changed my song because it just came out and i’m jamming

Howdy bookish friends! Today is the final day for my 3 Day Lyrical Challenge!!! Thanks again to the lovely and wonderful Angela! You can read my last two entries for this tag here and here.

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Share one of your favourite song/lyrics one at a time for three consecutive days
  • Nominate three other bloggers each day

Because I did a challenge last week, I’m only going to nominate one person per day because I don’t want to pressure anyone, etc.

My Song:

So, I changed today’s song to Joan of Arc by Little Mix. Joan of Arc makes me want to break down doors and destroy the patriarchy and BE MY OWN WOMAN! I strongly believe Little Mix’s songs are empowering and sexy – they can create conversations surrounding feminism and how women are perceived in today’s society.

[Intro: Leigh-Anne]
Hey, hey
Damn

[Verse 1: Leigh-Anne Pinnock]
One foot in the club, everybody watch me
One pop on the booty, everybody love me
Ain’t the reason I’m cocky
I make myself feel sexy
Fanning myself, I’m stanning myself
I love me so much I put my hands on myself
Fanning myself, I’m stanning myself
I love me so much I put my hands on myself

[Pre-Chorus: Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall]
Man, I feel like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Queen of Hearts, (yeah)
Tonight it’s only me that matters
Oh, you on that feminist tip
Hell yeah, I am!

[Chorus: Jesy Nelson]
I don’t need a man
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can (’cause I can)
I don’t want your cash (uh)
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand (what?)

I don’t need a man (uh, uh)
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can
[Verse 2: Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock]
Make way for the G-O, double D, E-S-S
I spare no enemies in this dress
Uh-huh, uh-huh
I make myself feel sexy
Fanning myself, I’m stanning myself
I love me so much I put my hands on myself
Fanning myself, I’m stanning myself
I love me so much, can’t keep my hands off myself

[Pre-Chorus: Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall]
Man, I feel like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Queen of Hearts, yeah
Tonight it’s only me that matters
Oh, you on that feminist tip
Hell yeah, I am!

[Chorus: Jade Thirwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock]
I don’t need a man (yeah, a man)
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can (’cause I can)
I don’t want your cash (uh, uh)
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand

I don’t need a man (uh-huh)
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can

[Bridge: Jade Thirwall and and Leigh-Anne Pinnock]
Yeah one-one, take control
Drop your man down like you don’t want him no more
Say two-two, freak the floor
Drop it so low that your thighs get sore
Say one-one, take control
Drop your man down like you don’t want him no more
Say two-two, freak the floor
Drop it so low that your thighs get sore

[Chorus: Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock]
I don’t need a man
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can
I don’t want your cash
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand
 (woo)
I don’t need a man (not mine)
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can
I don’t need a man
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can (cause I can)
I don’t want your cash
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand (woo)
I put my own rock on my hand

I don’t need a man
If I’m loving you it’s ’cause I can

I hope that was kind of fun! Until tomorrow, my loves! Happy reading!
