how can you not see it?
it falls out of my mouth
cascades
punctures the ground
overwhelms,
i drown.
how can you not know?
as i scream
wail,
hit the ground with my fists,
internally feeding the frenzy, the riotous waves of pain,
crashing and crushing and suspending me in time.
the ocean pulls me
in
captures me
(capsize)
how can you not see?
i am
drowning.
– you’re the one who left, dad.
