what Iโ€™ve been reading this week

Hi book nerds.

This is coming to you a day late – Iโ€™ve been on thesis deadlines and I have no spare time during the day!! But Iโ€™m currently in bed, my book handy and NCIS LA cued up to play so I thought, what a perfect time to give yโ€™all a reading update!

This week Iโ€™ve only really been reading one book because I am obsessed. The League of Gentlewomen Witches by India Hilton is book two in the Dangerous Damsels series, following on from The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels.

I am so in love with this series. Iโ€™m only 100 pages into the sequel but India Holtonโ€™s writing, her humour and her characters are exquisite.

Though this series is a historical romance fantasy, it is much more than that. It is entirely ridiculous and delightfully charming.

The sequel centres Charlotte Pettifer, a witch and Alex Oโ€™Reily, a pirate – both going after the same thing. The stolen amulet of Black Beryl.

There are flying houses, knives to throats, assassins who are butlers and a variety of other frankly bonkers things. I am having the time of my life reading it.

What else can I say?

I would say that if you enjoyed Something Fabulous by Alexis Hall, you have to read this series. Itโ€™s just so fun and laugh out loud funny! India Holton has become an automatic buy author for me, because she has surpassed all of my expectations.

Sorry for the very small update, but Iโ€™m only reading one book! I should have a more substantial post for you all on Sunday but I am on a deadline so things may be a bit chaotic !

Until next time, happy reading!

All the love,
